2025年に訪ねた地域で出会った動物たちを紹介します。
I shall introduce animals I encountered in the areas I visited in 2025.

市街地　―Urban area
首都や大商業都市であっても、公園や大型宿泊施設の敷地や個人の庭などに緑地や水場は点在し、一部の野生動物にとっては小さな保護区や避難所のような存在となっている。
Even in the capital and huge commercial cities, some green spots and water spots exist within parks, large accommodation compounds and private gardens. They are like small sanctuaries or refuges for some wildlife.

高地　―Highland

主に野菜や陸稲（おかぼ）や小麦などを生産している標高1,000~2,000メートルの高原地帯だが、薪炭材の収穫用に残している林地や果樹園などに鳥や昆虫たちが集まる。
The plateau region, at an altitude of 1,000 to 2,000 meters, mainly produces vegetables, upland rice and wheat. But some birds and insects gather in small woodlands preserved for firewood and orchards.

低湿地　―Low wetland
広大な平野のよ低い部分に、雨期には水が溜まって湿地になる一帯がある。その一角は堤防で仕切られ、一じゅう水を蓄えた浅くて広大な貯水池となっている。それらの貯水池や雨期限定の湿地には水鳥が訪れ、水辺の林は鳥や昆虫の餌場や住みかとなっている。
Some low-lying area of the vast plain becomes wetland during the rainy season. Some corners of the area are separated by the earth bank and form a vast shallow reservoir that holds water throughout the year. Water birds visit these reservoir and wetlands. And the surrounding woodland provides feeding grounds and habitats for birds and insects.

低地の穀倉地帯　―Low granary

水稲を生産している一大穀倉地帯のごく限られた地域に、雨期になるとオオヅルが集まって繁殖する。
During the rainy season, Sarus cranes gather to breed in a very limited area within a major rice-producing region.

マングローブ地帯　―Mangrove area

デルタの一角に中洲が陸地化した広大な島がある。島にはマングローブの植生が残っており、すべての動植物を含む生態系が保護されている。
In a corner of the delta lies a vast island which formed by a sandbar. The island retains mangrove vegetation, and its entire ecosystem, including all flora and fauna, is protected.

If some of my identifications are incorrect, please point them out.

国際空港から入国して法に従って住むのだが、一在留者として動ける範囲は、数年前に比べても狭くなっている。
戦闘の激しい地域や、暫定政権からも反国軍勢力からも管理されていない地域など、そこの森や生物がどうなっているのか、残念ながら、行って確かめる機会はまだ持てていない。
